"Where do you live?"
"In Neverland. Second to the right
and then straight on until morning."

Born from my love of J.M. Barrie.

At my university in Austin, Texas, I sat by the turtle pond often between classes. Whenever I told people how I loved the world of Peter Pan, they told me how it was unrelatable. It was a story about rich kids in London. Where had the Scottish element gone? What about Captain Hook?So as I looked at the turtles, their calming way overcoming me, I was inspired to write my own version. My 18 year old self's idea was sloppy. Notebook paper scattered plot points. And I'd tweak it, or mess with it.
I would write maybe not the Disney version or the stage edition that wowed audiences long ago. Mine. One that spoke to people everywhere, of every demographic, background, and nationality, with a focus on disability, war, and veterans. The real boy who did grow up, Peter, died taking his own life as a veteran suffering from PTSD.As luck would have it, in my 30's, a gentleman by the name of Jonny Holloway from The Traitors (BBC) agreed to share his story as a real life disabled veteran. Weaving it into my script was a dream come true, and I cannot wait for him to voice a character based on his true story, along with a stellar acting cast from Scotland, England, Spain, and the Americas. My Peter Pan and the Adventures of Dreams is the first remake drawing from all of J.M. Barrie's collective works. I bring more accuracy to the pirates and Captain Hook as per the book description. J.M. Barrie poured his love into his tale, and I hope you feel when you watch it that it is a shared concept, as if I co-wrote it with Mr. Barrie himself.I cannot wait to share my finished film with you. Neverland is simply another part of Wonderland. It is a work in progress. We will get this done in true flair!with love,
